Thirty-Nine

Today was Shane's 39th birthday. He worked the night before so he didn't get home until after 6 this morning. He then went to sleep for a little while before getting up to go to school. He had class from 12:30-4. I got home from work and then picked everyone up. We headed up Ogden Canyon to our dining destination, The Timbermine. Usually Shane and I go there and then have a weekend getaway with just him and I, but that wasn't the case this year. With school and work it seems like there just isn't time for that right now. So here are a few pics of the night;

Next year I will definitely need to plan something big since he will be the big 4 0.

The Holidays

Here is how our holidays went;

Christmas Eve at my parent's house

My parents put on quite the spread.

We had prime rib, yummy potatoes, rolls, green beans, jello ribbon salad and a yummy holiday drink

All the cousins hanging out watching TV and then we all opened our gifts for the gift exchange.

Christmas

We had a fire burning and got Owen's face when it blazed a little more. CLASSIC!

Stephen's surprise was a new ipod nano.

Dallin's surprise was a new puppy. He was up in his room and Shane went to get the puppy from his sister's house. We placed the kennel in the front room and he came down and was like, WHAT?!?!? He couldn't believe it. He named the puppy Zinger.

I think Zinger likes his new home. He settled right into every one's laps and fell asleep.

We made the rounds to all the in-laws houses and the kids got a few more gifts. It was a nice day. Later we had to drop Stephen and Dallin off to their Mom. On the way home Shane and I made our traditional stop at China Hill in Layton and got Chinese food for dinner. We got take out because Owen had fallen asleep and we had Zinger with us. It was a very fun Christmas this year.

New Year's Eve
Went to dinner at The Mandarin in Bountiful with my side of the family. Shane had to work so he wasn't there.

Wendy (Sister-n-law), Mom and Dad.

Mark (My brother), Adam and John Paul (Nephews)

Alison (My niece), Troy (Ali's boyfriend) and Ansley (Ali's BFF)

New Year's Day
Went shopping with Christmas money and Owen got cowboy stuff. He is such a HAM!

It was a nice time to spend with family, but now it is time to get back to the grind. Everyone will be back to school tomorrow and life will begin to be crazy again for all of us.
Hope that everyone's holidays went well!
